About Us: We are a forward-thinking startup dedicated to the sustainable reuse, recycling, and repurposing of batteries. Our mission is to reduce electronic waste and contribute to a circular economy by finding innovative solutions for damaged and out-of-warranty batteries. We aim to repurpose viable cells for second-life use and recycle the remaining cells, addressing the growing issue of battery disposal in the age of electric vehicles (EVs).

Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer (CTO) with a strong background in battery technology, sustainability, and circular economy principles. The ideal candidate will share our vision and have the expertise to drive the technical development and implementation of our battery second life and recycling initiative.

Current Stage: At this moment, we are in the idea stage and are actively seeking an angel investor to fund our initial development and operations. This is a unique opportunity to join at the ground level and significantly influence the direction and success of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical strategy and development of the battery second life and recycling initiative.
• Identify and evaluate viable cells from damaged and out-of-warranty batteries for repurposing.
• Develop and implement processes for the safe and efficient recycling of non-viable battery cells.
• Collaborate with battery manufacturers to create a market for second-life battery cells.
• Address technical and logistical challenges to ensure the success of the initiative.
• Maximize the sustainability impact of our operations.
• Build and lead a technical team as the company grows.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in battery technology and recycling.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in battery technology, recycling, and/or sustainability initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of the battery lifecycle, including EV batteries and other types.
• Experience with the technical aspects of battery repurposing and recycling.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for sustainability and reducing electronic waste.
• Ability to think strategically and execute effectively in a startup environment.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
