Detailed Job Description:
- CNC Programming and Optimization:
- Develop, test, and optimize 6-axis / multi-axis CNC programs for high-precision defense components using UG-NX software.
- Use Vericut machine simulation software to simulate CNC programs and validate machine configurations to ensure high precision in manufacturing.
- Continuously optimize tool paths for 6-axis / multi-axis machining techniques to improve efficiency and reduce cycle times.
- Machining Cycle Time (MCT) Preparation:
- Prepare Machining Cycle Time (MCT) estimates for various components, aiding in accurate process planning.
- Manufacturing Process Modeling:
- Generate detailed 3D models of the manufacturing process using Siemens NX12 and above to ensure accuracy in CNC programming.
- Knowledge on GD&T and understanding all GD&T features, should be able to apply for manufacturing process and their applications.
- Design specialized jigs and fixtures to support optimized manufacturing processes, ensuring stability, safety, and precision required in manufacturing.
- Process and Quality Documentation:
- Create and maintain inspection sheets and process documentation that align with stringent industry standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to validate CNC programs, processes, and inspection sheets, ensuring compliance and quality in production.
- Tool and Fixture Design (Advantageous):
- Apply knowledge in fixture and tooling design to support manufacturing needs, maintaining consistency with quality standards and production workflows.
- Quality Assurance and Adaptability:
- Demonstrate agility to adapt to dynamic project needs as required by management or customer requirements.
- Collaborate closely with teams to ensure products meet quality expectations, adhering to high standards.
- Technical Leadership and Mentorship:
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring team collaboratively with appropriate solutions while performing CNC programming.
