Cloud Solution Architect - Lead
10 to 15 Years Experience, Insurance Exposure is Mandatory, Based in Chennai
Job Responsibilities / Key Accountabilities
- Define long-term Cloud infrastructure architecture blueprint, and strategy to support business
growth for next 3-5yrs and plan for readiness of systems across functions (Sales, Claims,
Servicing, Finance etc.).
- Define and maintain cloud architecture principles, best practices, design considerations etc.
- Drive cloud adoption and bring cloud native mindset into the organization.
- Provide insights to the organization from technology and market trends on cloud native and
industry specific approaches.
- Evaluate system options in terms of adherence to architecture guidelines.
- Develop and drive operational excellence across organization.
- Participate in external and internal discussions to evangelize cloud related topics and
represent organization in key forums to attract right talent.
- Participate in vendor evaluations for scope and capability of system/solution, and
cost/commercials with best ROI mindset. Constantly look for better solutions and vendors to
optimize costs and provide better user experience.
- Drive the culture of design for failures with best-in-class operational excellence, and NFRs
such as HA, scalability, reliability, security, quality, operability, DR etc.
- Mentor senior technical leads, architects and product managers to drive speed of delivery.
Required Skills
- Good understanding of the GI business and technology dependencies and implications
- Good understanding of technology used in the industry
- Ability to understand implications of technology decisions holistically - business, implications
on other solutions, security, performance, migration, customer experience etc.
- Strong understanding of technology trends in the GI industry
- Strong Cloud architecture credentials certifications from AWS/GCP/Azure or equivalent.
- Experience in handling complex and distributed systems in B2C or B2B setup.
- Ability to understand strategic, functional and technical aspects of technology
- Ability to quickly understand tech implications and ways in which tech can impact business
- Excellent communication and people manager skills
- Ability to manage senior business stakeholders and internal technical team
