Key responsibilities
- Take the lead in remediating pen test findings in Azure and GCP environments.
- Operate as the technical lead in the configuration and maintenance of security tooling such as IaC, Crowdstrike, and Mimecast.
- Work in close collaboration with all Product and Enterprise Technology teams to instil security best practices and assist in evangelising a security-first approach.
- Guide and collaborate with technical teams in delivering initiatives to fulfil the project roadmap by providing cyber security best practices.
- Deploy new cyber security enhancements to existing products.
- Maintain the cyber security BAU initiatives.
- Manage Euromonitor's estate-wide vulnerability management programme. Triage and prioritise CVEs from scans and scheduled reports then collaboratively engage with various stakeholders through to resolution of vulnerabilities.
- Collaboratively manage Euromonitor's penetration testing programme through to timely remediation of pentest findings.
Requirements
Experience and Skills:
- Have 5+ years of practical experience in cloud security engineering, including securing systems based in/on Azure, GCP, and Kubernetes, or.
- Have 5+ years of practical experience in a cyber security engineering role with a background in Cloud infrastructure/Infrastructure/Networking.
- Are a good communicator, can work collaboratively, and are a quick study who is able to work cross-functionally with engineers of all levels to embed security and a security culture into the product life cycle.
- Have used creativity in your approach to unusual problems and risk reduction activities in cloud security engineering.
- Are a T-shaped security professional with a system engineering background ready to drive change behaviour in a passionate and convincing manner.
- Are a natural consensus builder and can abstract security concepts into clear actions and influence at all levels.
- Have a technologist mindset to implement security throughout the product lifecycle through activities like practical demonstrations, mentoring colleagues, and providing a cyber security SME function.
- Have a passion for network security and are able to apply that mindset to blue team security and network defence.
- Have experience with securing systems in Azure, GCP, and Kubernetes environment.
- Are passionate about cyber security and ready to evangelise and convert as many in your sphere of influence to the Information Security agenda we're driving.
Education:
- MSc Cyber Security or MSc Information Security or similar.
- BSc Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Music, Latin, or similar.
Certifications:
- At least a security certification such as CompTIA Security + or above.
- Microsoft AZ 500, Google Security Professional or similar.
