About the role:

In this opportunity as Cloud Operations Engineer, you are a fit for this position if your background includes:

  • Provide operational support for the Platforms & Products that we support.
  • Act as the go to person for any production issue, troubleshoot and escalate as needed and monitor until successful resolution. Communicate status with the team and stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain monitoring for all aspects of infrastructure, products and the platform, and implement Alerting mechanism using cloud native solutions
  • Take active role in implementing Operation Readiness stories, communicate the progress to the project/scrum teams and demo
  • Implement nonfunctional requirements with focus on systems availability, scalability, performance, monitoring, alerting and security (remediate infrastructure level vulnerabilities).
  • Individuals must be proactive, self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple project tasks Maintain end-to-end security ensuring that we meet best practices standards
  • Individual must have great analytical skills
  • Extreme collaboration within our teams Canada, US, Mexico and India
  • Ongoing participation in Scrum team, and an embrace of an agile work model. This includes collaboration with other Software Engineers, Test Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Product Owners and Scrum Masters
  • On-call Rotation: Participate in on-call/shift rotations. When on-call, you are expected to drive the troubleshooting and mitigation activities while working on incident
  • Keep up to date with emerging cloud technology trends, especially around DevOps

About you:


You're a fit for the role of Cloud Operations Engineer if your background includes:

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in operating and supporting production grade AWS cloud-based services and products (DevOps/Cloud Operation engineer).
  • Experience & knowledge of AWS services, such as EKS, Cloud Front, ECS, Route53, DB Services, Search services and more.
  • Experience or knowledge of Container technology such as Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Experience in cross versatile OS platform like Linux, Windows.
  • Experience in scripting and programming (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
  • Hands on experience & strong technical expertise on Monitoring tools like Datadog, ELK and has experience in collecting Telemetry, setting up monitors, dashboards and alert metrics with integration skills over various platforms.
  • Experience or knowledge with Version Control and CI/CD (Git/ Azure DevOps)
  • Experience or knowledge writing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (Terraform / CloudFormation / other).
  • Knowledge on a release deployment process.
  • Team player with a can-do attitude.
