Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Engineer with over 10 years of experience, specializing in AWS and Azure cloud platforms along with Kubernetes administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and maintaining Kubernetes clusters, utilizing Terraform for infrastructure as code, and implementing GitOps practices. This role requires hands-on expertise in cloud infrastructure management, networking, security, and observability tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Kubernetes Administration:
- Manage Kubernetes clusters, including upgrades, control plane management, and networking.
- Administer TLS certification management and ensure secure communications within the cluster.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
- Utilize Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Handle remote state management and create custom modules in HCL.
- Cloud Platform Management:
- Manage and optimize AWS and Azure cloud resources, including AKS/EKS, IAM/AD, EC2/VM, LBs, S3/Storage Accounts, VPC/VNet, Managed Databases, Route53, Traffic Manager, CloudWatch/Azure Insights, and cost management.
- GitOps Practices:
- Implement GitOps tools and concepts using ArgoCD/FluxCD and Kustomize for continuous deployment and infrastructure management.
- Observability:
- Set up and manage observability tools using the Prometheus stack.
- Create and manage service monitors for metrics collection, write PromQL queries, and configure dashboards and alerting systems.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Kubernetes administration beyond simple application hosting.
- Strong expertise in cluster maintenance, control plane management, networking, and TLS certification management.
- Extensive experience with Terraform, including remote state management, custom module creation, and in-depth knowledge of HCL.
- Comprehensive experience with AWS and Azure cloud services, including but not limited to AKS/EKS, IAM/AD, EC2/VM, load balancers, S3/Storage Accounts, VPC/VNet, managed databases, Route53, Traffic Manager, CloudWatch/Azure Insights, and cost management.
- Proficiency in GitOps tools and concepts, particularly ArgoCD/FluxCD and Kustomize.
- Experience with observability tools using the Prometheus stack, including service monitors for metrics, PromQL, dashboards, and alerting.
Good-To-Have Qualifications:
- Certifications such as CKA/CKAD/CKS.
- AWS or Azure certification (associate level or above).
- Experience with Crossplane.
- Familiarity with Istio.
- Experience with HashiCorp Vault.
