Description :
As a Cloud Architect you will be a key individual contributor in a strategic Cloud Architecture organization that is working to support the entire global team business as it relates to the consumption of public cloud services. This multifaceted role encompasses two discrete areas of responsibility: 1. Core shared services Cloud Architectures spanning global footprint. 2. Individual cloud workload and solutions architecture per landing zone. This role will require you to collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organization, as well as working among a tight knit team of peers distributed throughout the world. Your mission will be to understand business requirements and translate them into robust, scalable, and secure cloud-based architectures and solutions that will support the needs of businesses. As a key player in our team, you will spearhead the development and execution of our cloud adoption plans, ensuring that the architecture adheres to industry best practices and aligns with the organization's present and future needs.
Any AWS or GCP certifications are a good to have.
- Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or a similar role with a focus on cloud architecture and design.
- Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS) and expert-level knowledge of their respective services. o GCP and AWS experience here a major plus.
- Manage the design of cloud-based architectures for GCP and AWS as required.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise-level solutions, considering scalability, performance, security, and integration requirements.
- Experience in working with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to gather requirements, define solution architecture, and provide technical guidance.
- Understanding of cloud security principles and best practices, including data protection, identity management, and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code provisioning/management and tooling (e.g., Hashicorp Terraform) highly desired but not mandatory.
- Support cross-segment large business transformation programs as a part of the Cloud Enablement Team.
- Act as a cloud architect for complex cloud designs and or solutions.
- Contribute to architecture review boards to review and decide on new cloud architectures proposed by Enterprise architects and members of the Cloud Community of Practice.
- Collaborate with application and third-party development teams to understand availability and fault tolerance requirements for each cloud-based workload.
- Work with Security and Compliance teams to ensure all documented security and compliance controls are adopted and followed by business teams, as well as gather feedback on the effectiveness of cloud-based security tools.
- Define standards and governance control methods that safeguard and maintain the quality and effectiveness ofCloud architecture deliverables.
- Ensure adherence to the current Cloud requirements and standards.
- Ensure the cloud well-architected framework is followed for the new solution implementation.
