Assist surgeons, gynecologists, and other medical professionals during surgical procedures, anticipating their needs and providing instruments and supplies as required.
Monitor patients vital signs and communicate any significant changes to the surgical team promptly.
Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment in the operating room.
Handle and dispose of hazardous materials and waste in a safe and appropriate manner.
Assist in positioning and transferring patients safely on the operating table.
Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and instruments, ensuring they are in optimal working condition
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses and anesthesiologists, to provide comprehensive patient care.
Participate in the proper documentation of surgical procedures, patient records, and any other relevant information.
Adhere to hospital policies, protocols, and safety guidelines at all times.
Qualifications
Relevant educational background and certification as an Operation Theatre Technician or a similar field.
Familiarity with surgical instruments and equipment.
Knowledge of infection control practices and sterilization techniques.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with the surgical team.
