Working under the Retail Studio Managing Director, the Manager of Client Services is responsible for pursuing major opportunities, generating profitable growth, and increased market share by sourcing new clients and project leads, while working with existing clients for new and expanded opportunities.
Duties:
- Lead retail business development efforts by securing new and repeat business through on-call accounts, variable project pursuits with key stakeholders for retail.
- Execute quarterly and annual goals, strategies and tactics to achieve business development objectives.
- Identify and attend industry events and networking functions to promote our services and establish connections with key stakeholders in the retail design community.
- Work with senior client services leaders. Involvement with the development of proposals, collateral, advertising, web content, branding, messaging, presentation formats, database and public relations programs/campaigns.
- Market Analysis: Stay abreast of cross-category retail industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform business development strategies and proposal development.
Education:
- BA or advanced degree in marketing, sales, architecture, design or related fields
Experience:
- 5+ years in progressive sales and marketing role with demonstrated experience identifying, locating, and closing large accounts and variable projects in the retail sector.
- Experience selling retail architecture and design services and/or corporate real estate industry sales experience required.
- Highly motivated, organized, and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Proven track record of securing new business and managing client relationships within the retail design field.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
