- Position Overview: As a Child Development Instructor at The Little Gym, you will leverage your background in psychology to facilitate and enhance child development classes. Your role will involve creating a supportive, interactive, and educational environment for children, while integrating psychological principles to support their growth and learning.
Facilitate Developmental Classes: Lead engaging classes for children, focusing on physical, cognitive, and social development through structured activities and play.
- Apply Psychological Principles: Utilize your understanding of child psychology to tailor activities and interactions that support individual developmental needs and foster emotional and behavioral growth.
Assess Developmental Progress:
Monitor and assess the developmental progress of children, providing feedback to parents and adjusting class activities as needed to meet each child's needs.Create a Safe Environment:
Ensure a safe and inclusive environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and confidence-building.Collaborate with Parents: Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, offer guidance on developmental milestones, and address any concerns.
- Design Class Curriculum: Contribute to the design and implementation of curriculum and lesson plans that align with developmental milestones and educational goals.
Stay Updated:
Keep current with best practices in child development and psychology to continuously improve class content and delivery.Promote Positive Behavior:
Use psychological techniques to manage and guide behavior, ensuring a positive and supportive atmosphere in all classes.Educational Background:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.Experience:
Experience working with children in educational or developmental settings preferred.Knowledge: Strong understanding of child development theories, psychological principles, and early childhood education.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate children and interact effectively with parents.
