Position Overview:
The Clarks Hotels & Resorts is seeking a seasoned Chief Security Officer (CSO) with a background in security management. The CSO will oversee all security operations across our properties, focusing on safeguarding assets, guests, and employees. This role requires strategic thinking, crisis management, and leadership skills to ensure a safe environment for all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Security Strategy and Policy Development:
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive security policies and procedures across all properties.
Lead strategic security planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with leadership to align security efforts with the company's goals and standards.
Update the brand on the latest security protocols and guidelines and their implementation
2.Risk Assessment and Crisis Management:
Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate potential threats.
Implement emergency crisis management protocols, including natural disasters, fire safety, theft, and guest/employee incidents.
Develop and oversee emergency response procedures to ensure the safety of guests, employees, and assets.
3.Property-Level Security Oversight:
Establish and monitor security standards for each property, ensuring adherence to security policies.
Work closely with General Managers and property security teams to address on-ground security needs.
Conduct audits and spot-checks at various properties to ensure compliance with security protocols.
4.Team Management and Training:
Lead, mentor, and develop security teams across properties, fostering a culture of vigilance and discipline.
Design and conduct training programs on security awareness, emergency response, and operational security procedures.
Ensure that property security teams maintain high standards in line with company policies.
5.Collaborations and Liaison:
Build relationships with local law enforcement agencies, government officials, and emergency services for additional support when required.
Coordinate with external security vendors, technology providers, and consultants for up-to-date security measures.
6.Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure compliance with legal regulations and industry standards regarding security practices and safety protocols.
Prepare and present periodic reports on security status, incidents, and actions to the senior management.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in security management or a related field.
Proven experience in a senior security role, with preference given to candidates from an army background, ex-army official/ Karnal.
Minimum 15 years of experience in security management, including roles with oversight responsibilities.
Demonstrated knowledge of security operations, risk management, and crisis management protocols.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
