Job Description

Brief Overview of the Job Description:

The COO will lead operational strategy, oversee program execution, and ensure the effective implementation of initiatives across all focus areas. This role is pivotal in driving the company's mission to enhance community resilience and promote inclusive growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the expansion and enhancement of programs in social protection, livelihood, and financial inclusion.
  • Drive initiatives in digital literacy and cybersecurity, ensuring community empowerment through technology.
  • Oversee health awareness programs, expanding outreach and impact on community well-being.
  • Foster an environment that supports women's leadership and the engagement of young talent in all organizational activities.
  • Ensure all operations align with the organization's mission and adhere to ethical standards and best practices.
  • Technologies to be Used: Proficient in MS Office Suite for strategic planning, project management, and data analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences, Public Health, or related fields.
  • At least 8-12 years of leadership experience in an NGO, with a strong background in program management,operations and fund raising.

Skills:

  • Demonstrated leadership and strategic planning abilities, with a strong commitment to community development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale projects and multi-disciplinary teams in a dynamic and changing environment.

Company Overview:

Our client is a registered non-profit dedicated to supporting individuals with blindness and vision impairment in India, where over 20% of the world's visually impaired population resides. Often marginalized and treated unfairly, these individuals face limited access to opportunities and information. Our client aims to change societal perceptions and promote a positive mindset towards blindness. They believe the real issue is not blindness itself but the attitudes towards it. By providing knowledge and resources, our client seeks to empower the visually impaired to realize their potential. Through Project Eyeway, they disseminate information, connect people to resources, advocate against discrimination, and engage sighted stakeholders through sensitization sessions.
