Job Overview:
The Lead Data management is responsible for managing and maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of the organization s master data across all business units. This role involves developing data management strategies, implementing data governance practices, Lead master Data Management tool implementation and ensuring the successful integration of data management systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to lead data projects in a fast-paced environment.

Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in data management, which includes a focus in master data management.
- Proven knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data integration best practices.
- Adept in writing policies and procedures to establish data standards and operating models.
- Strong and tested project management skills.
- Experience in a pharmaceutical setting or medical device setting a plus including knowledge of relevant industry and regional data regulations and standards.
- Experience with global cross-functional projects across different geographies and the flexibility to work in different time zones.
- Experience in data management tools, such as SAP MDM, Informatics or similar.
- Knowledge of SAP data elements highly preferred.
- Knowledge of data platforms, such as Azure and AWS, desirable.

Key Role & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive data management strategies that align with the company s goals and objectives.
- Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures (SOPs) to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define critical data elements, data standards, policies, and procedures.
- Lead Data Governance Council as Data champion and drive Data Governance working group projects to improve organization data quality.
- Ensure Business teams are Monitoring and maintaining the quality of master data across all business systems and applications.
- Conduct regular data audits and conduct clean-ups to identify and correct data discrepancies and inaccuracies. Work with business members to ensure completion.
- Develop and implement data quality metrics and reporting tools along with business to track and improve data quality over time.
- Schedule periodic data quality assessments and plans to rectify gaps discovered.

- Oversee the integration of master data across various business systems and applications.
- Perform the Data Lead role in the S/4 HANA implementation to coordinate the cleanse, planning, testing and migration of data from ECC to HANA.
- Work closely with Corp IT, Business IT and other business functions to implement MDM tools to ensure seamless data flow and consistency.
- Manage and maintain master data management (MDM) systems, including system upgrades and enhancements.
- Acts a principal SME for projects requiring data migration and integration
- Supports and leads the Business teams during the Data Cut-over/Migration Activities and monitors projects during Hypercare to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Lead data management projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to budget, timeline, and quality standards.
- Develop project plans, including tasks, timelines, resources, and milestones.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Define clear roles and responsibilities amongst the working group and data governance structure for data assets across all regions and functions
- Collaborate with business units to understand their data needs and provide data-related support.
- Communicate data management strategies, policies, and procedures to stakeholders across the organization.
- Identify potential risks and issues related to master data and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
- Proactively monitor data management activities, identify deviations from the plan, and take corrective action as necessary.
- Document and escalate risks and issues as appropriate and work with stakeholders to resolve them in a timely manner.

- Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the data management team.

Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Data Management or related field; Master's degree highly preferred.
