This role will work closely with a wide range of stakeholders like Clients, BD, Underwriting and Claims on regular basis to support the regular group pricing work and provide solution to the clients adhering to RGA s pricing standards and requirements. This includes evaluating business requests to determine requirements, manage the group pricing process, and communication to senior management.
Responsibilities - Pricing standard quotes with minimal supervision and delivering within the agreed timelines and within the established quality standards by effectively mobilizing the junior resources.
- Research and develop areas of pricing expertise as required to handle non-standard quotes.
- Maintaining complete and accurate pricing documentation.
- Pricing the Facultative cases referred and ensuring proper documentation for the same.
- Completing necessary data analytics for the purpose of setting reasonable assumptions for pricing.
- Set and periodically update pricing bases.
- Periodic updating the pricing and treaty/addendum/amendment templates.
- Drafting group business proposal and treaty documentation and negotiation with client to ensure timely execution.
- Lead a team of junior/student actuaries in the group actuarial pricing team.
- Contribute to new products and reinsurance structures design.
- Research and develop areas of pricing expertise as required.
- Assist with review of business and product mandates for the local business mandate.
- Interacting with clients on data issues and other issues to ensure pricing is complete and accurate.
- Work with BD, underwriting and claims to develop innovative and mutually beneficial business solution for the queries coming from clients.
- Involvement in any project-type activities from time to time.

- Manage timely internal reporting documentation requirements.

Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in mathematics, Finance, Statistics, Actuarial Science or a related field.
- Nearing actuarial qualification with a recognized actuarial association
- Minimum 10 to 12 years experience in handling various aspects of group pricing experience in insurance/ reinsurance claims.
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent oral and written Communication skills and ability to communicate complex problem to variety of stakeholders so as to achieve consensus.
- Strong IT skills sound working knowledge of MS Excel, Macros, MS Word and any actuarial/statistical software. Ability to work in cross-functional teams/projects.
- Ability to effectively participate and help foster, a team-based work environment.
- Proven track record of setting and meeting individual and team goals in a project oriented, customer-focused environment.
- An ability to set and manage priorities in a changing work environment is essential.
- Conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines
