Your impact
This is a leadership role for design and construction of a large greenfield airport and will report directly to the
Director Aviation.
This leadership role is client facing role and will be responsible as a single point of contact for the client. This role is expected to lead a multidisciplinary design and supervision teams to deliver design, manage the tendering and award process for construction contract and oversee works contract/s awarded by the client.
The person will also be required to lead the delivery of other major projects and establish systems and processes according to project requirements.
Role Accountabilities
- Work with Major project directors to develop detailed program execution strategies to deliver project under Jacobs scope.
- Manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for both program-wide and in cross-organizational working, to ensure commercial viability, delivery assurance and customer satisfaction.
- Lead, motivate and develop a diverse program team by recruiting, setting objectives, and reviewing performance to ensure staff are driven and have the necessary skills to deliver the program/Project objectives.
- Responsible for setting delivery approach for multiple sub-projects and plan in consultation with key stakeholders.
- Responsible for establishing project delivery plans and appropriate control mechanisms to assure delivery.
- Responsible for performance management of project staff, engaging with senior leadership team and Associate / Senior project managers.
- Good understanding of data privacy, security, and compliance issues to ensure that information is managed in a responsible and secure manner.
- Strategic thinking to align Project / Programme management with organizational goals.
- Analytical skills to make sense of complex data and information, as well as Problem-solving skills to address challenges and find solutions.
Project Location Initially the role will be in Gurgaon office for 6-8 months and after that onsite in Karwar, Karnataka
Here's what you'll need
- Experience and Qualification requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- 8 - 18 Years of total experience with at least 10 years experience in Construction of Airfield / major Infrastructure Project of Similar magnitude and nature; and Minimum 7 years of experience in the capacity of Team Leader/ Project manager in major Airfield / Infrastructure project, out of which 5 years should be in airfield Infrastructure.
- Experience in Relevant assignment (i.e. having experience of any airfield project in a technical capacity for more than 12 continuous months)
- Having done Project Planning & Management, Team Management of any airfield project(s)
- Having experience of Operation & Management in airfield project(s)
- Having experience in defence airfield project(s)
- Chief Consultant/ Team Leader (Age limit 60 years as on Jan 2020).
