Develop and execute AI and digital transformation strategies for assigned ministry in partnership with leadership.
Provide strategic advice to Ministry/Departments on adopting emerging technologies like AI, ML, blockchain etc. to improve governance and service delivery.
Create standards and frameworks to guide effective use of data and technology across ministry programs.
Partner with CIOs, CTOs, and other agencies to implement modern architecture and systems leveraging automation and AI. While this role emphasizes strategic oversight in guiding technology initiatives and decisions on technologies and digital strategy, the direct implementation of software projects will be carried out by respective departments like NIC/CDAC, or vendors selected by the Ministry or agencies under it.
Work closely with ministry on inter-agency and industry collaborations regarding technology innovation.
Present an integrated view of citizen service delivery, help drive intra and inter-ministerial coordination as well as oversee development and execution of ministry's data strategy and data governance. Required Qualifications:
15+ years overall experience, with 10+ years leading enterprise-scale AI and digital transformation initiatives.
Experience developing and implementing technology strategies and roadmaps for large organizations. Experience of government or public sector organizations will be preferred.
Expert knowledge of AI, machine learning, data security & privacy, advanced data analytics, and other emerging technologies
Exceptional leadership and collaboration skills, ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
Strong commitment to public service and managing government partnerships.
Masters/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred As Chief AI and Digital Officer, you will provide vital strategic leadership and technical expertise to translate the promise of AI and automation into improved public services.
