Job Description

Responsible for overseeing financial reporting, analysis and compliance activities. Also will be responsible for providing strategic financial guidance, ensuring regulatory compliance and driving sound financial decision-making to support the organization's objectives.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements, in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  2. Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timeliness of financial reporting.
  3. Provide strategic financial advice to senior management, board of directors and stakeholders, supporting decision-making and long-term planning.
  4. Conduct financial analysis, variance analysis and trend analysis to identify key performance indicators, risks and opportunities.
  5. Oversee budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes, collaborating with department heads and senior leadership to develop realistic and achievable financial targets.
  6. Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulations and reporting requirements, including the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns and VAT/GST returns.
  7. Manage relationships with external auditors, tax authorities and regulatory agencies, coordinating audit processes and responding to inquiries or requests for information.
  8. Implement and maintain internal controls, policies and procedures to safeguard assets, mitigate risks and ensure compliance with accounting standards and corporate governance guidelines.
  9. Lead or participate in special projects, initiatives or system implementations related to finance and accounting, driving process improvements and efficiency gains.
  10. Mentor, train and supervise junior accounting staff, fostering their professional development and growth.
  11. Make CMA Statements and be acquainted with financial reporting to lenders.
  12. Knowledge of NBFC reporting and filings with RBI.

Requirements:

  1. Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification from a recognized professional accounting body.
  2. Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance and auditing roles, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
  3. Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) and tax regulations.
  4. Experience in a senior financial management role, preferably in a medium to large-sized organization or Multinational Corporation.
  5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  6. Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manipulate large datasets and create financial models.
  7. Exceptional communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate financial information effectively to diverse audiences.
  8. Proven leadership abilities, with the capacity to inspire and motivate team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  9. High level of integrity, professionalism and attention to detail, with a commitment to upholding ethical standards and confidentiality.
  10. Willingness to stay updated on developments in accounting standards, tax laws and regulatory requirements.
