We are looking for an experienced Chartered Accountant (CA) to join our accounting firm. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in financial reporting, tax compliance, auditing, and advisory services for our diverse client base. This role requires in-depth knowledge of direct and indirect taxation, accounting standards, and proficiency in compliance across multiple tax jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct Taxation
- Assess liabilities and ensure compliance with Income Tax, TDS, and Wealth Tax for various clients, including HNWIs, HUFs, partnership firms, and corporations.
- Conduct and manage Tax Audits, filing forms 3CA, 3CB, and 3CD.
- Oversee clients quarterly income and provide guidance on Advance Tax payments.
- Prepare and file e-TDS returns and address online rectifications.
- Draft and review submissions for the Income Tax Department, handle Statements of Financial Transactions and respond to cash transaction requirements.
- Issue certificates (Net Worth, Book Value, No Dues, Foreign Remittance [15CA-CB], etc.) and file Income Tax Returns.
- Manage scrutiny, assessments, and appeals at CIT(A) and ITAT levels.
- Provide client advisory on quarterly income management and Advance Tax.
Indirect Taxation
- Manage Service Tax Registration, compliance, and Service Tax Returns.
- Handle VAT, Central Sales Tax, and Profession Tax filings, audits, and assessments.
- Respond to department notices and represent the firm in departmental inquiries.
Audit, Accounting, and Other Areas
- Conduct concurrent, statutory, and internal audits, especially of stock.
- Finalize accounts ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Draft partnership deeds and agreements as needed.
Goods & Services Tax (GST)
- File GST Annual Returns (GSTR-9 & GSTR-9A) and Reconciliation Statements (GSTR-9C).
- Manage GST TDS & TCS compliances for e-commerce clients.
- Prepare reconciliations for 3B vs. R1 vs. 2A and handle GST refund filings.
- Address GST notices, handle department audits, and respond to assessments.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Chartered Accountant (CA)
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Preferred Skills: Knowledge of equity valuation is an advantage
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in accounting, auditing, and tax planning
- Technical Skills: Proficient in accounting software and Excel, with strong analytical and communication abilities.
