Position Overview. We seek a dedicated and detail-oriented Chartered Accountant (CA) with 1-5 years of professional experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of Goods and Services Tax (GST), tax compliance, accounts payable, and overall financial accounting principles. The role involves managing monetary records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and supporting the finance team in various accounting functions
Responsibilities. GST Compliance and Reporting:. Ensure accurate and timely filing of GST returns
Maintain up-to-date records of GST transactions
Handle GST audits and assessments
Advise on GST implications for various business transactions
Tax Compliance:. Prepare and file direct and indirect tax returns
Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations
Assist in tax planning and strategies to optimize tax liabilities
Manage tax assessments and respond to queries from tax authorities
Accounts Payable Management:. Oversee the accounts payable process, including invoice processing, payment approvals, and vendor reconciliations
Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors
Monitor accounts payable aging and resolve any discrepancies
Financial Accounting:. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
Conduct regular financial analysis and reporting
Internal Controls and Compliance:. Implement and monitor internal controls to ensure financial accuracy and integrity
Conduct internal audits and reviews to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Identify areas for process improvements and implement necessary changes
Support and Collaboration:. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial decision-making
Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff
Assist in special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as required
