Key Responsibilities
Develop high-fidelity models and UV layouts for production, incorporating feedback from reviews and guidance from Supervisors/Leads.
Generate initial creature/character blockout concepts in 3D as required.
Translate conceptual designs into practical, detailed models with precision.
Ensure consistency across departments by collaborating with texture, look development, and rigging teams.
Execute assigned tasks efficiently within designated timelines.
Adhere to DNEG protocols for quality assurance by conducting thorough checks on completed work before passing it on to downstream departments.
Participate in project-specific reviews, departmental meetings, and other essential discussions.
Qualifications
Proven VFX experience in modeling photorealistic assets for live-action feature films.
Proficient understanding of animal and human anatomy.
Keen artistic vision for organic shapes, functionality, and visual appeal.
Competence in digital sculpting using Zbrush, with a strong grasp of associated workflows.
Aptitude for technical problem-solving and troubleshooting.
Demonstrated capability to transform ambiguous designs into fully realized implementations.
Sound comprehension of rigging processes and displacement map techniques.
Prior experience in creature creation, digital doubles, topology, and blend shapes is advantageous.
Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring meticulous quality control of own work before delivery.
Exceptional time management and prioritization skills, with a track record of delivering under pressure.
Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
Collaborative team player capable of working independently with minimal oversight.
