Your day at NTT DATA
The Channel Sales Specialist is a seasoned subject matter expert, responsible for establishing and maintaining client and partner relationships for the purpose of generating maximum revenue from those accounts.
This role is responsible for selling the company's products and services through resellers / channels in assigned territories / accounts.
What You'll Be Doing
Key Responsibilities:
- Meets the assigned targets for profitable sales volume and the strategic objectives within the assigned partner account.
- Uses interpersonal skills to work successfully with the channel partners to achieve their sales targets and manage the pipeline and opportunities effectively.
- Participates and contributes to the Business Unit Opportunity Review Board (ORB) and ensures that opportunities are maximized.
- Maintains and expands relationships with assigned channel partners and vendors.
- Ensures that channel activities are clearly and accurately communicated, and they can build broad networks across all levels in the business.
- Manages the day-to-day relationship of assigned channel partners.
- Acts as a liaison between the company and assigned channel partners
- Builds, maintains and manages relationships with current and prospective channel partners.
- Establishes productive relationships with key employees in assigned partner accounts.
- Develops and executes channel sales programs to drive revenue, deliver and exceed sales quotas for assigned channel partners.
- Provides regular updates to sales management on the status of existing partners and the recruitment of new partners.
- Analyzes sales statistics to understand and assist with growth in resellers.
- Delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with partner representatives.
- Engages with end customers and resellers at industry tradeshows and events.
- Jointly develops impactful campaign initiatives with partner marketing to maximize return on investments.
- Provides timely and accurate forecasting.
- Collaborates and aligns with ecosystems to create up-sell and cross-sell opportunities.
Knowledge and Attributes:
- Seasoned understanding of sales process, negotiation techniques and closing deals.
- Seasoned ability to build and maintain strong relationships with channel partners.
- Seasoned knowledge of products and/or services sold by the organization.
- Seasoned understanding business models, aligning goals and providing necessary training and resources.
- Seasoned understanding of the market landscape, including industry trends, competitor offerings and client needs.
- Excellent ability to analyze dales data, market trends, and performance metrics.
- Seasoned ability to execute a comprehensive channel sales strategy.
- Excellent communication abilities (both verbal and written) coupled with excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Academic Qualifications and Certifications:
- Bachelors or equivalent degree in business, commerce or cales or a related field
- Relevant vendor certifications such as SPIN or Solution selling.
Required Experience:
- Seasoned demonstrated experience in a corporate environment with specific focus on channel sales.
- Seasoned demonstrated experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product management, and finance.
- Seasoned proven track record of achieving sales targets.
