As a Central Kitchen Chef at Nino Foods, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the consistency, quality, and efficiency of food production for our chain of restaurants. You will oversee the daily operations of the central kitchen, where all food preparation and production for our locations are centralized. Your culinary expertise and leadership will be crucial in maintaining our high standards of food quality and adherence to operational procedures.
- Menu Execution: Ensure accurate and consistent execution of menu items according to established recipes and standards across all outlets.
- Production Management: Plan and oversee daily production schedules to meet volume and quality demands while minimizing waste.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and production workers, ensuring proper training, performance management, and adherence to safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks on ingredients, finished products, and production processes to maintain high standards of food safety and taste.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods, and coordinate with procurement to ensure availability while minimizing excess.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve kitchen processes, workflows, and efficiency to optimize production output and minimize costs.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and company policies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as Operations, Purchasing, and Menu Development to support new product launches, promotions, and operational initiatives.
- Proven experience as a Chef or Kitchen Manager in a high-volume food production environment, preferably in the QSR industry.
Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification is preferred.
Experience with inventory management, cost control, and process improvement initiatives.- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
