Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Media Gateway (MGW) & Cello CPP Expert to lead the configuration, management, and optimization of s Media Gateway and Cello Centralized Provisioning Platform (CPP) within our network infrastructure. This role is essential to ensuring seamless call processing, media handling, and efficient provisioning of telecom services, with a focus on maintaining high-quality voice and data services across LTE and 5G networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Media Gateway (MGW) Management:
- Lead the configuration, operation, and maintenance of Media Gateway (MGW) systems, ensuring optimal performance for voice, video, and data traffic.
- Monitor MGW performance, analyze system logs, and resolve issues related to media transcoding, call processing, and signal quality.
- Implement media resource optimization strategies to ensure high availability, quality of service (QoS), and efficient media handling in live networks.
- Collaborate with the core network and IMS teams to ensure effective integration between MGW and other core components, including HSS, SBC, and IMS elements.
- Cello CPP Expertise:
- Oversee the configuration and operation of s Cello Centralized Provisioning Platform (CPP), ensuring accurate and timely provisioning of services.
- Perform provisioning and activation tasks for core network elements and subscriber services through Cello CPP.
- Troubleshoot provisioning-related issues, ensuring efficient service activation, customer onboarding, and minimizing errors in the provisioning process.
- Collaborate with OSS/BSS and backend teams to maintain seamless integration and automate provisioning workflows across the network infrastructure.
- Optimization & Performance Management:
- Conduct regular audits of Media Gateway and Cello CPP systems to identify optimization opportunities and improve network performance.
- Monitor system KPIs and QoS metrics, ensuring efficient resource allocation and network capacity management.
- Optimize MGW for voice and video services to ensure minimal packet loss, jitter, and latency, particularly for VoLTE, VoIP, and multimedia services.
- Incident Management & Troubleshooting:
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting for both MGW and Cello CPP platforms, identifying root causes for service disruptions or degradation.
- Collaborate with network operations teams to resolve complex issues impacting media gateways or service provisioning.
- Implement proactive monitoring and fault management solutions to minimize downtime and enhance service reliability.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Expertise:
- Extensive experience working with Media Gateway (MGW), including configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting in a live network environment.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Cello Centralized Provisioning Platform (CPP) for provisioning and service management.
- In-depth understanding of telecom core networks, including IMS, VoLTE, and EPC (Evolved Packet Core).
- Expertise in call routing, signal processing, media transcoding, and related protocols (SIP, RTP, H.248, SS7, Diameter).
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Strong collaboration skills to work across multiple teams including RAN, Core, Transmission, and IT.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly articulate technical information and work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to document processes and create reports on system performance and optimization efforts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related fields.
- certifications or specialized training in Media Gateway and Cello CPP.
- 7+ years of experience working in telecom networks, with direct experience managing MGW and Cello CPP platforms.
- Familiarity with network automation tools and scripting for process optimization and provisioning.
