Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled and experienced CCTV Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems. The CCTV Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and safety of our clients properties by implementing and managing CCTV solutions.
- Installation and Configuration: Install, program, and configure CCTV systems, including cameras, monitors, recorders, and related equipment according to client specifications and industry standards.
- Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting of CCTV systems to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Upgrades and Expansion: Identify opportunities for system upgrades and expansion to meet client needs. Provide recommendations for equipment and software enhancements.
- Quality Control: Conduct quality control checks on completed installations to ensure compliance with company standards and client requirements.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all installations, repairs, and maintenance activities. Prepare detailed reports and documentation for clients.
- Client Support: Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, concerns, and service requests promptly and professionally.
- Training: Train clients and end-users on the proper operation and maintenance of CCTV systems.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards pertaining to CCTV systems and data privacy.
- Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during installations and maintenance activities to minimize risks.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training in electronics or security systems is preferred.
Proven experience as a CCTV Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of CCTV system components, including cameras, DVRs, NVRs, and cabling.
Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting IP-based CCTV systems.- Familiarity with various CCTV camera types, such as analog, digital, and PTZ.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
