Description
We are looking for an experienced Catering Manager to oversee the daily operations of our catering department. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 7-8 years of experience in the job market context of India, and possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the catering department, including menu planning, food preparation, and service
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and suppliers
- Create and manage budgets, ensuring profitability and cost efficiency
- Hire, train, and supervise catering staff, including chefs, servers, and event coordinators
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation standards
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients and suppliers
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, purchases, and sales
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new developments in catering services
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field
- Minimum of 7-8 years of experience in catering management in the job market context of India
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to handle customer complaints
- Proven ability to manage budgets and ensure profitability
- In-depth knowledge of food preparation and presentation, as well as health and safety regulations
- Experience in menu planning and catering for large events
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and catering software
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
