Job Description

Position Name - Category Manager

Location - Bangalore

Experience Range - 3-6 years

Work Model - Work from Office

Mandatory Requirement:

  • Proven experience in category management, preferably in the FMCG industry.
  • Experience with marketplace platforms.

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement category strategies to maximize sales and profitability.
  2. Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape.
  3. Manage the product life cycle, including new product development, pricing, and promotions.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and supply chain, to ensure alignment and execution of category plans.
  5. Monitor and analyze category performance, providing insights and recommendations to optimize performance.
  6. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers and retailers.
  7. Manage budgets and forecasts for the category, ensuring targets are met.

Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
  • Proven track record of successful category management and product launches.
