Job Description: Cashier
Location: Gobichettipalayam, Erode, Tamil Nadu
Salary: 15,000 - 20,000 per month (depending on experience)
Job Summary:
We are looking for a friendly and reliable cashier to join our team in Gobichettipalayam! As a cashier, you will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient checkout experience for our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers politely and professionally.
- Scan or enter purchased items accurately into the cash register system.
- Verify pricing and quantities of items.
- Process cash, credit card, and debit card payments efficiently.
- Issue receipts, refunds, or change as needed.
- Bag or pack purchases securely.
- Count cash drawer funds at the beginning and end of shifts.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions.
- Follow cash handling procedures to prevent discrepancies and theft.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Assist customers with inquiries about products, store policies, or promotions.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues politely and efficiently. (Optional: Include if applicable)
- Redeem coupons and gift cards. (Optional: Include if applicable)
- Report low stock or damaged merchandise. (Optional: Include if applicable)

Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience as a cashier or in a similar customer service role (preferred).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent math skills and cash handling abilities.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Positive and customer-oriented attitude.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays (may vary).
