Description

We are looking for an experienced Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate should have 1-2 years of experience in a similar role and possess excellent communication and customer service skills. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for processing transactions accurately and efficiently while providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers as they approach the cash counter
  • Scan items and process payments using the cash register
  • Ensure that prices and quantities are accurate and that change is given correctly
  • Maintain knowledge of current promotions and discounts
  • Answer customer questions and resolve any issues or complaints
  • Balance cash drawer at the end of each shift and ensure that it matches the sales receipts
  • Assist with inventory management and restocking merchandise as needed
  • Keep work area clean and organized

Skills and Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience as a cashier or in a similar role
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately
  • Familiarity with cash registers and other point-of-sale equipment
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification
