Job Description

Service Assurance and support is a critical business function in providing high quality support services to our customers. We are looking for a support engineer to join our operations team to support our Pay TV customers across India. This is an exciting opportunity be part of a team supporting over millions of customers ensuring that JIO Platform Ltd. services are delivered to Indian customers as per their expectations by ensuring quality services to customers. Role Description: You will be part of operations team supporting Pay TV services . Rapid response to platform incidents, ensuring the customer is always kept up to date with the progress of any investigation, and providing a detailed resolution report including any further actions required. Feedback detailed analysis of any software defects to the development team, including project management where required. Participate in new system deployments, and take on new solution responsibility, as well as sharing the knowledge within the group. Work in 24/7 support environment. Minimum requirements Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electronics Engineering or equivalent experience (Minimum 60% and above in schooling and college). Work experience (3+ years) in Video Service Provider Solutions (e.g. cable TV, VoD, OTT, DVBIP). Prior hands-on experience on Conditional access systems like Synamedia VideoGuard, Nagra, Gospell, Verimatrix. Knowledge on Verimatrix CAS will be a big PLUS. Good knowledge of Multiplexers from various providers and models like Harmonics and Synamedia (DCM). Working Knowledge of encoders and stream analysis tools/devices like DekTec. Hands-on experience with a variety of hardware and software platforms: Open source UNIX varieties, (Linux), database technologies (Oracle), good grasp of Openshift and Kubernetes . Experience in SQL and relational databases. Any scripting experience will be an added advantage. Experience of troubleshooting distributed systems/applications. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. An ability to operate with minimal supervision. Positive and enthusiastic team player with can-do attitude. Experience and ability to work with cross functional teams and ability to travel.
