Job Overview:
We are looking for an Education Counsellor to join our team. The Education Counsellor will be responsible for providing guidance and support to students who are considering higher education options. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable about various educational programs, universities, and colleges in their region, and be able to match students interests and goals with the most suitable options.
Responsibilities:
Provide expert guidance to students on various higher education options
Conduct one-on-one counselling sessions with students to understand their interests, strengths, and career aspirations
Help students identify their preferred courses, universities, and colleges
Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the education sector
Provide information to students on scholarships, financial aid, and other funding opportunities
Maintain accurate records of student interactions and progress
Follow up with students to ensure they are on track to achieve their educational goals
Collaborate with other team members to ensure the smooth operation of the organization
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in education, counselling, or related field
Proven experience as an education counsellor or related role
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong knowledge of higher education options in the region
Ability to build rapport with students and their families
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
