Job Title: Career Counsellor
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Career Counsellor to join our team. The Career Counsellor will assist students and professionals in making informed career choices by providing guidance, advice, and resources. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of career development theories, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping others achieve their career goals.
Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to assist clients in career planning and decision-making.- Assess clients interests, skills, values, and personality traits using various assessment tools and techniques.
Provide information and resources on educational and career opportunities, including job market trends, employment prospects, and educational programs.
- Assist clients in developing and refining their resumes, cover letters, and job search strategies.
Help clients explore and understand their career options through self-assessment and exploration activities.- Guide clients in setting realistic career goals and creating action plans to achieve them.
Conduct workshops and seminars on career-related topics, such as job search techniques, interview skills, and career transitions.
- Collaborate with educational institutions, employers, and community organizations to create opportunities for clients.
Stay updated on industry trends, labor market information, and educational advancements.- Maintain accurate and confidential client records and documentation.
Provide support and follow-up with clients to track their progress and address any challenges they encounter.
Bachelor's degree in any field, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of career development theories and counseling techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
Proficiency in using career assessment tools and resources.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.- Knowledge of current job market trends and employment practices.
