Job Overview:We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Caf Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our caf. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food and beverage industry, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively. The Caf Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring a seamless operation, delivering an exceptional customer experience, and driving revenue growth.
Operations Management:- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the caf, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
Manage the cafs opening and closing procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, placing orders for supplies and ingredients as needed.
Ensure the cafs cleanliness and maintenance meet health and safety standards at all times.
Recruit, train, and supervise caf staff, including baristas, servers, and kitchen staff.- Create staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak and off-peak hours.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address any staff-related issues promptly.
- Foster a positive team environment and encourage high standards of service.
Customer Service:
- Maintain a strong customer-focused approach, ensuring a warm, friendly, and efficient service experience.
Handle customer complaints and feedback, resolving issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Implement customer engagement initiatives, such as loyalty programs or special promotions, to drive repeat business.
Financial Management:
- Monitor daily sales, revenue, and expenses, and prepare weekly and monthly financial reports.
Work with the finance team to develop budgets, cost controls, and pricing strategies to maximize profitability.
- Manage cash handling procedures, including deposits, reconciliation, and daily till operations.
Menu and Product Development:
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to design and update the menu based on customer preferences and seasonal trends.
Work with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients and products at competitive prices.
- Introduce new offerings, such as seasonal specials or promotional items, to keep the menu fresh and engaging.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and hygiene regulations.
Maintain all necessary licenses, permits, and certifications for caf operations.
- Implement safety procedures and ensure staff are trained in emergency protocols.
Marketing and Community Engagement:
- Work with the marketing team to develop promotional activities and campaigns to attract new customers.
Engage with the local community and organize events to increase the cafs visibility and reputation.
- Monitor customer reviews and feedback on social media and online platforms, implementing improvements as needed.
- Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience as a Caf Manager, Restaurant Manager, or in a similar role in the food and beverage industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent customer service and communication abilities.- Proficient in inventory management, budgeting, and financial reporting.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and standards.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
A degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
