CAD Technician

Job Overview:

The CAD Technician position at Algiere Construction Services, Inc. presents an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a passion for technical design and proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software. We are seeking a candidate who can support our engineering and design teams in the creation, modification, and documentation of engineering drawings and models across various projects and disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

• CAD Drawing and Modeling:

Create, modify, and maintain accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models based on engineering designs and specifications. Ensure adherence to industry standards and project requirements. Collaborate with engineers to interpret design intent and resolve issues.

• Drafting and Documentation:

Produce detailed engineering drawings using CAD software, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Review and correct errors in CAD drawings. Organize and maintain CAD files and project documentation.

• Technical Support and Coordination:

Provide technical support for CAD software, troubleshooting, file conversions, and data management. Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely CAD deliverables. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to clarify requirements and facilitate collaboration.

• Quality Assurance and Compliance:

Conduct quality checks on CAD drawings to ensure compliance with standards. Implement and maintain CAD standards. Stay informed about CAD advancements and recommend improvements.

What We're Looking For:

• 3-6 years of experience in architectural drafting, emphasizing CAD utilization.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture.
• Demonstrated experience in the advanced use of AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, & Microsoft suite, with Revit proficiency as a significant advantage.
• Visual awareness and an eye for detail, particularly in the context of CAD-based design.
• Strong architectural portfolio showcasing CAD skills.
• Communication and project management skills.
