Job Description:As a Plumbing and Firefighting Draftsman, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans for plumbing and firefighting systems in various construction projects. You will work closely with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure designs meet project specifications, codes, and standards.
Develop detailed drawings and plans for plumbing and firefighting systems, including layouts, schematics, and isometric views.
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand project requirements and design objectives.
Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.- Revise and update drawings based on feedback and project changes.
Prepare material take-offs and lists for project procurement and estimation.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely completion of design deliverables.
Assist in site visits and inspections to gather data and ensure design accuracy.- Maintain and organize drawing files and documentation for easy access and retrieval.
Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.- Proven experience as a draftsman in plumbing and firefighting systems.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant CAD software.
- Strong understanding of plumbing and firefighting design principles and codes.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in design work.- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
