Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated CAD Design Engineer specializing in Automotive Interior & Exterior Trims. In this role, you will lead the design and development of crucial components, ensuring they meet both functional and manufacturing requirements. You will work with advanced design software to create intricate 3D models that bring our visions to life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead CAD Design: Oversee the design of interior and exterior components, including instrument panels (IPs), consoles, door trims, cabin trims, and soft trims.
• 3D Modeling: Create complex surface models in CATIA V5 and 3DX, focusing on injection molding and plastic manufacturing processes to ensure design and tooling feasibility.
• Tooling & Feasibility: Ensure parts meet manufacturing requirements by defining tool direction, parting lines, slider/lifter construction, and conducting packaging studies.
• Problem-Solving: Address design issues and refine concepts through strong analytical and problem-solving skills, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure alignment.
• Standards Compliance: Maintain adherence to industry standards and safety requirements, delivering high-quality, safe, and durable designs.
• Project Milestones: Manage product lifecycle phases, meeting design and development milestones on schedule.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience: Minimum of 4+ years in automotive trims design, focusing on both interior and exterior components.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in CATIA V5, 3DX, with practical experience in Teamcenter Engineering and Vismockup.
• Engineering Knowledge: Strong understanding of plastic part design, tooling feasibility, and injection molding processes.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills to engage with program stakeholders, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
• Independence: Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
