Role & responsibilitiesWe are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled CAD-CAM Engineer with a strong background in the wood working industry. In this role, you will utilize your expertise in CAD-CAM engineering and programming to develop precise and efficient machining programs for our wood working operations. Your primary objective will be to optimize production processes, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to project specifications
- Utilize CAD-CAM software to develop and optimize machining programs for wood working operations.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to accurately comprehend project requirements
.3. Collaborate closely with design, 3D cad model and engineering teams to review and analyze part designs for manufacturing feasibility.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds to ensure efficient and accurate machining operations.
- Prepare and generate CNC programs for wood working machines, including but not limited to routers, beam saws, and edge banding machines.
- Perform test runs to validate program accuracy, making necessary adjustments for optimal performance.
- Monitor machining operations to detect any issues or deviations from specifications, troubleshooting and resolving them promptly.
- Extract bill of materials and prepare cultists from project requirements.
- Continuously optimize production processes to maximize efficiency, quality, and productivity.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of machining programs, setups, and tooling for future reference and replication.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications or equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Proven experience as a CAD-CAM Engineer with a strong focus on the wood working industry.
- Proficiency in CAD-CAM software, specifically for wood working applications
.4. In-depth knowledge of woodworking principles, techniques, and best practices.
- Strong understanding of CNC machining operations and programming
.6. Familiarity with a variety of wood working machines, such as routers, beam saws, and edge banding machines and drilling machines.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machining issues effectively.
- Experience in extracting bill of materials, preparing cultists, and optimizing production processes in the wood working industry.
