We are on an exciting journey to build and scale our advanced analytics practice. We are looking for a BW/Hana Developer with demonstrated experience in implementing data models for large scale BI and advanced analytical solutions on a hybrid environment. This role participates in the conceptualization, design, development and delivery of Actionable BI and advanced Analytics solutions in Cloud and on Premises in conjunction with Data architects, visualization teams and product owners. In this position you will work on Data warehousing and data lake-based solutions using BW4/Hana, S4/Hana and other Big data platforms. You will be creating and enhancing data solutions enabling seamless integration and flow of data across our data ecosystem which includes fault tolerant design, data migration, dev-ops, deployment, and best practices working collaboratively with the security, and infrastructure architecture team. This role will be closely working with leadership teams from the different organizations to establish the data foundation to create value for diverse business functions such as sales and marketing, supply chain, pricing, Industrial IOT & digital factory implementation, and will impact business units that span through multiple geographic areas.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Understand current state architecture, including pain points and contribute to future state and vision.
- Lead and deliver complete application lifecycle design, development, deployment, and support for actionable BI and Advanced Analytics solutions
- Providing project leadership and technical governance in support of successful project delivery that delight our customers and meet or exceed their expectations
- Promote application and process design that maximizes system efficiency and performance, adheres to security/audit requirements, offers scalability, and affords on-going supportability and reuse
- Develop functional & technical design document to make SAP functional modules to Analytical systems (BW/Hana is preferred)
- Work with both technical and business stakeholders to understand data needs for projects. Perform the following as needed requirement analysis, data profiling, effort estimations.
- Make recommendations and assess proposals for database optimization.
- Help Support & Operations with issues and help resolve problems.
- Utilize lean principles and tools to reduce costs and realize continuous improvement in speed, simplicity, and quality.
- Ensuring that the solutions developed are easy to use and provide an exceptional user experience
You Must Have :
- 5+ years of IT experience in building data warehouse solutions using SAP HANA and SAP BW
- 2+ years of experience in building analytical solutions using BW/4 and S/4 Hana
- 5+ years working experience as a Data modeler with deeper knowledge data integration with Data Lake and data warehouse
- Strong techno-functional knowledge in one or more functional areas (Sales, Logistics, Production planning, Procurement, Finance, Marketing, Factory, Engineering and FI areas).
- Strong Experience in SAP ECC extractors builds and enhancements using BADI and ABAP.
- Keen understanding of core advanced Analytics/business intelligence/data warehousing concepts and methods.
- Experience in designing and developing ETL process from multiple data sources internally and externally using ETL tools such as Talend, BODS, SLT or similar.
- Multiple experience in integrating cold storage data stored in a big data platform to SAP BW/Hana using SDA.
- Detailed in-depth knowledge of SAP BW coupled with demonstrable hands-on design/development experience.
- Experience with Eclipse based modelling, BW Extended Node and AMDP based transformations.
- Experience with HANA/BW on Cloud.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities. Results oriented. Relies on fact-based logic for decision-making.
- Ability to work with multiple projects and work streams at one time. Must be able to deliver results based upon project deadlines.
- Willing to flex daily work schedule to allow for time-zone differences for global team communications.
- Utilization of agile methods to deliver solutions quickly.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science OR equivalent work experience in an IT organization.
