About the Group:
Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) within Independent Risk Management is responsible for overseeing the implementation of Citi's Enterprise Risk Management Framework and for specific enterprise-level risk management programs and processes that span the organization, the lines of defense and various risk categories. These include risk identification, enterprise risk analytics, risk appetite & limits, new activity risk management, risk frameworks & policy, strategic risk, digital assets risk and climate risk. The group is headed by the Head of ERM who reports directly to the Citigroup Chief Risk Officer (CRO).
About the Team:
Within ERM, the CAO & transformation team supports a number of key activities across ERM including business management and strategy; transformation and consent order governance; and ERM data and technology. The business management and strategy teams are responsible for coordinating strategy and key initiatives across ERM including human capital, engagement and expense management / productivity; providing of day to day operational and administrative support to the ERM pillar leads and managing a cadence of ERM wide operating rhythms and routines including offsites, townhalls and quarterly business reviews. The transformation pillar of the team are responsible for governing the ERM Consent Order plan, engaging regulators & IA and providing oversight and challenge on all ERM milestones to ensure that execution of the RBCMs are robust and appropriate to deliver the outcomes articulated in the Consent Orders. The digital teams are responsible for developing a digital operating model for all processes, producing and delivering product roadmaps and will lead the execution of technology capabilities and adoption, in partnership with the technology teams, ensuring customization and integration of each ERM Pillars solutions into a common platform.
About the Role:
This specific role will be part of the ERM data and technology pillar within ERM CAO & transformation. The Enterprise Risk Transformation team is an expanding function within the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) function responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and leading enterprise strategic initiatives covering risk monitoring, reporting (including data management), escalation workflows and controls. The risk transformation team is primarily focused on delivering a portfolio of key firm-wide consent order initiatives in the risk & control domain. The current opening is for the team's Escalation Events Transformation Product Owner. The objective of the role is to provide program management and technology product management to plan, oversee and execute against remediation efforts with key partners. The Transformation Product Owner is responsible for driving the on-time, complete delivery of the technology commitments associated with the book of work.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage program strategy and planning within the Risk Monitoring, Reporting and Escalation (MRE) program including defining the strategy, approach, processes, quality, tools, and reporting that provide global risk management consistency and excellence.
Product Owner with the ability to bridge the gaps between product strategy and development, including providing clarity about the product's vision and goals.
Leads delivery of sprints of the Enterprise Escalation Workflow Tool though collaboration with varying business users, technology partners, Internal Audit, and PMO colleagues.
Works closely with business partners on findings and makes recommendations on improving practices though technology solutions.
Directs junior team members in creation of procedural documentation, and user guides for the Escalation application's roll out and ongoing enhancements.
Examines procedures for consistency and gaps relative to policies and standards, in addition to impacts on user experience.
Leads internal testing of data integration, configuration, and enhancements to the workflow tool.
Leverages data to examine impacts to user experience and procedural breaks.
Provide governance for our portfolio of Technology projects, including dependency management, risk & issue management, and stakeholder engagement across a broad range of other programs.
Strategic planning and communication to multiple senior forums, regarding various transformation activities within the Consent Order
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Work with leadership team and hiring managers to understand and action change in order to improve organizational oversight and standards.

Qualifications and Competencies:
The successful candidate will have risk management experience and ability to work with senior stakeholders across the business, risk, compliance, finance, technology, program management functions and with geographically distributed global teams.
Ability to lead program management governance forums to support team members and stakeholders as they design, socialize and deliver against the transformation book of work according to common program management standards, reporting and closure processes.
6-10 years financial services implementation experience or related risk and control function Experience in workflow management / implementation and corresponding technology (Angular/jBPM, ServiceNow, Pega), with jBPM experience preferred.
Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred
Strong ability in interacting with and influencing business stakeholders
Capable of prioritizing and multi-tasking in a dynamic environment Strong written and verbal communication skills needed for influencing senior management decisions.
Ability to operate autonomously in order to make independent, strategic, and thoughtful decisions in order to identify and remediate problems and realize efficiencies across the function.
