Business Reporter

The Core.in, a newsletter to website business initiative, focused on impactful insights and reporting in the fields of tech, finance, and general business, with a special emphasis on investigative and ground-led journalism, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Business Reporter for their New Delhi/Mumbai team.

The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of relevant experience and a demonstrated history of covering any of the above-mentioned beats with in-depth and impactful reporting.

Responsibilities:

- Thoroughly research and report on current events and developments in the tech, finance, and general business sectors in New Delhi/Mumbai and relevant regions.

- Conduct interviews with industry experts, executives, and other stakeholders to gather insights and produce impactful stories.

- Generate creative story ideas and pitch them to the editorial team to enrich the coverage of TheCore.In.

- Use data and analysis to provide deeper insights into the covered sectors and identify emerging trends.

- Ensure accuracy, fact-checking, and adherence to the highest journalistic standards in all reporting.

- Collaborate with the editorial team to brainstorm and execute special features, investigative pieces, and exclusive interviews.

- Stay up-to-date with relevant news and industry developments to remain at the forefront of the assigned beats.

- Develop and maintain a network of sources to break exclusive stories and gather insider information.

- Adapt quickly to changing priorities and deliver content within tight deadlines.

Requirements :

- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, business, or a related field.

- 4-5 years of professional experience in business journalism, with a strong focus on tech, finance, and general business.

- Proven track record of producing high-quality, impactful, and in-depth stories in the mentioned beats.

- Strong writing and storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex topics for a wider audience.

- Familiarity with New Delhi/Mumbai's business reporting landscape and key players in the sectors of interest.

- Demonstrated ability to deliver under tight deadlines and adapt to evolving news priorities.

- High ethical standards and a commitment to journalistic integrity and accuracy.
