Role Overview:
The Business Project Manager (Oracle Fusion HCM Implementation) leads the implementation and integration of Oracle Fusion Human Capital Management (HCM) systems. This role involves coordinating key resources, managing risks, and ensuring successful delivery of project milestones. The Business PM acts as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the IT team, ensuring alignment with business objectives and smooth execution of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Monitoring:
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules for Oracle Fusion HCM implementation.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of key milestones.
Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with Business Process Owners (BPOs) and Product Directors to ensure alignment and integration with business objectives.
- Facilitate effective communication between business stakeholders and IT teams.
Risk & Issue Management:
- Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues.
- Act as a mediator to resolve conflicts and ensure project continuity
Resource Coordination:
- Plan and manage project resources, ensuring the availability of necessary business and IT resources.
- Coordinate with other Project Managers to avoid resource conflicts and ensure optimal resource utilization.
Quality Assurance & Documentation:
- Ensure all business-facing documentation and plans, including BRDs, FDDs, UAT test plans, and training plans, meet quality standards.
- Conduct impact analysis and develop mitigation plans for identified risks and issues.
Project Governance:
- Schedule and run project governance forums and meetings, including design reviews, change control meetings, and other key project meetings.
- Obtain business approvals and sign-offs for key project deliverables.
Communication & Reporting:
- Cascade project-related communications to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide regular project status updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business, Human Resources, Information Technology, or a related field.
- PMP or Prince2 certification preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional work experience.
- At least 7 years of project management experience, with a strong track record in managing large-scale transformational projects.
- Extensive experience with Oracle Fusion HCM or similar HRIS implementations.
- Background in Human Resources or related field is highly advantageous.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders constructively.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of building trust and confidence among peers and senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrates a structured and detailed approach to problem-solving.
- Capable of making informed decisions and representing them confidently to stakeholders.
- An advocate of best practice project management methodologies, yet adaptable to changing project needs.
- Experience in a multi-functional, multi-disciplinary environment.
- Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies.
- Familiarity with MPP and other project management software is an advantage.
