Job Description

Role purpose
The individual will lead a team that provides accurate and timely delivery of financial and operational information to the business, through systems and activities that establish optimal organisational performance.

Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities
Strategic Focus
Responsible for building a high performing team to ensure optimal service delivery.
Support the business in developing and delivering accurate and timely data.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives, and support and adapt to changes in technology or process, to ensure that best practice is incorporated into the business.
Work within a dynamic, varied, complex and time critical environment to the highest quality standards without compromising risk and cost to service.
Operational Management

Deliver accurate data reconciliation.
Provision of end-to-end reconciliation of all data files processed with escalation of any issues identified.
Accurate reporting including ad-hoc analysis provided as required.
Provision of all reporting analysis is timely and accurate to relevant stakeholders.
Proactively improve systems, processes and data feeds to support the continuous improvement of reconciliation tasks and expansion of channels reconciled.
Manage escalations and enquiries from internal and external stakeholders with urgency.
People Leadership

Leading, motivating and developing a team of Business Performance.
Role model MUFG values & actively contribute to the Business Performance function and the broader RS team.
Promote a culture of high performance that values learning and a commitment to quality and customer centricity in line MUFG's core values.
Actively develop team members to performance in role, set goals and develop clear plans to achieve their personal goals and overall business objectives.
Provide regular feedback, recognition, coaching and direction throughout the year to enhance performance and growth, and realign goals with changing business priorities.
Governance & Risk

Support the management and identification of risk through data insights.
Manage risk and compliance focused culture across the team.
100% compliance with own learning requirements.

Experience & Personal Attributes
Experience

8 to 10 years of experience into Business Performance role.
Manage escalations and enquiries from all stakeholders with urgency.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerBI, SQL).
Experienced in high volume data streams and analysis thereof.
Previous experience in a supervisor, team leader or manager capacity in Business Performance.
Personal Attributes

Active leadership with the ability to motivate and engage staff and to create an environment that encourages innovation; develop people to meet their potential.
Highly organised with excellent time management skills ability and commitment to meet deadlines.
Ability to interpret policies and procedures.

Ability to work with routine requirements daily whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Ability to work within given timeframes and deadlines both at an individual and team level.
