The OpEx & Analytics Group is at the heart of the transformation of Global Business Services (GBS) and the broader central functions within Wolters Kluwer. The group provides to implement different aspects of a rich pipeline of operational improvements across Wolters Kluwer. You will help track and use data to help business make decisions.
The Role:
You will manage data and develop insights. Working with leaders and other main contacts from each function, you will use large datasets to find opportunities for tracking quantitative and qualitative details and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action. You have experience using a variety of data analysis methods with the correct tools, building, and implementing models for simulation. You will report to the manager of the business vertical.
Essential duties:
- Work with technology, finance and procurement teams to identify opportunities for using company data to identify trends and opportunities
- Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and understand how our users can use our solutions
- The BI analyst has work across the following areas:
- Data Collection and Processing:
- Data Analysis and Interpretation:
- Machine Learning and Predictive Modelling:
- Data Visualisation and Reporting:
- Research & Development
Education:
- BA or BS degree (focus in Engineering, Statistics, Math, or Economics)
- MS degree (focus in Data Science preferred)
Experience:
- 2.5 or more years of experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches
Other Skills or Certifications:
- Translate data into visually appealing and executive-ready reports and dashboards
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL
- String understanding of statistical analysis, data mining and machine learning techniques
- Experience with data visualisations tools like Tableau or Power BI
- To manage repositories of information from many sources across Wolters Kluwer
- Work with all levels
Other Qualifications:
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
