Job Description

**Experience Requirements:**
- **Overall Experience:** 10 to 15 years in a similar domain
- **Business Development Experience:** At least 5 to 10 years in the same domain
- **Track Record:** Proven success in market development for Energy Storage systems and/or allied applications
**Knowledge and Skills:**

- **Market Knowledge:** In-depth understanding of the Energy Storage market in India and globally, including:
- Market size
- Current status
- Future trends
- Dynamics
- Key players
- Developers, end users, EPCs, OEMs, influencers, process, and engineering consultants

- **Energy Storage Systems Experience:**
- Battery Storage
- Pumped Hydro Storage
- Flywheel Storage
- Thermal Energy Storage
- Superconducting Magnetic Energy Storage
- Mechanical Energy Storage
- Compressed Air Energy Storage
- Capacitor Energy Storage
- **BESS Application Knowledge and Experience:**
- Grid services (frequency regulation, voltage support, energy arbitrage)
- Renewable energy integration (wind and solar)
- Peak shaving
- Load shifting (high on-peak to low off-peak prices)
- Emergency backup power
- Self-consumption (residential applications)
- Off-grid homes (industrial, commercial, and residential applications)
- Demand response programs
- Energy cost management (lowering demand charges)

- **Battery Technologies:** Knowledge of modern battery technologies, suppliers, market status, strengths, and weaknesses

- **Government and Semi-Government Contacts:**
- Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE)
- Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA)
- National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE)
- National Institute of Wind Energy (NIWE)
- Sardar Swaran Singh National Institute of Bio-Energy
- Skill Council for Green Jobs
- Ministry of Energy, New and Renewable Energy Maharashtra, etc.

- **Client Engagement:** Proven track record with key stakeholders (EPCs, OEMs, consultants, end users)

- **Power Electronic Converters/Inverters:** Operation, sizing, and selection knowledge

- **Commercial and Financial Acumen:** Understanding of BESS solutions economic viability
**Educational Requirements:**

- **Minimum:** Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical/Power Electronics from a recognized and approved university
- **Preferred:** Higher educational qualifications relevant to the job
**Additional Skills and Attributes:**
- **Commercial and Financial Knowledge:**
- Market investments (capex, opex)
- Translating investments into business potential
- **Communication and Client Management:**
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- High client satisfaction levels
- Developing presentations, charts, and financial reports
- **Personal Attributes:**
- Self-starter and self-motivated
- Team player
- Proficient with modern tools (PC, mobile, business apps, office apps)
- Proficiency in English

**Market Research and Business Development:**

- Researching new market opportunities (Ansoff matrix)
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities
- Making business projections and forecasts
- Developing a network of contacts
- Cultivating customer relationships
- Market information and strategic initiative reporting

**Corporate Communications and Marketing:**

- Social media marketing (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube)
- Techno-commercial presentations
- Training activities and trade show participation
- Keeping company website updated
- Developing techno-commercial proposals
- Understanding governmental policies affecting the Energy Storage Market in India
