Role: Business Development Manager (BDM)

Educational Background: B.Sc. / B. Pharma with MBA

Experience:

Minimum 1 - 5 years of experience in business development or sales roles within the pharmaceutical industry in derma segment

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth and expanding market share through strategic planning, relationship building, and innovative sales strategies. This role requires a deep understanding of the derma market landscape, strong leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

Market Analysis and Strategy:

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities, market trends, and competitor activities.
  • Develop strategic plans and initiatives to penetrate new markets, expand existing customer base, and achieve sales targets.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, distributors, Doctors and strategic partners.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions to meet their requirements.

Sales and Revenue Generation:

  • Implementing effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve business objectives.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to secure new business opportunities and maximize profitability.

Product Development Support:

  • Work closely with the product development team/ Product Manager to identify market needs and opportunities for product innovation and enhancement.
  • Provide input and feedback on product development initiatives based on market insights and customer feedback.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with internal departments; including marketing, regulatory affairs, and finance, to ensure alignment of business development strategies with overall company objectives.
  • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives to support product launches, promotional campaigns, and market expansion efforts.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Track and analyze sales performance metrics, market trends, and customer feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of business development initiatives.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management to communicate progress, challenges, and opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of driving business growth, achieving sales targets, and building strong client/doctor relationships.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
