Position Purpose
To drive the business development plan and marketing activities in North India to achieve revenue growth and other targets for CBLA.
Duties & Responsibilities
Business Planning and Implementation:
- Responsible for developing an innovative, growth focused business strategy for OET in the North India.
- Documenting detailed sales, marketing, recognition, test venue recruitment plans for the region including key account management.
- Delivering on revenue growth targets within agreed budgets and being accountable for the South Asia revenue
Business Development:
- Accountability for the sales of OET in the North India.
- The role will involve travel to new and existing customers, driving the sales process from initiation to completion, organising and delivering promotional presentations, attending conferences, events and seminars, identifying and reporting new business opportunities and providing market intelligence. The role requires ability to travel for up to 35% of the time.
- Working with Cambridge Assessment Global Network colleagues in the Northern region as required to achieve OET sales targets
- Overseeing and supporting Test venue services with existing and new OET test venues
- Supporting the wider business strategy to grow demand for OET in new market sectors OET in North India.
Relationship Development
- Accountable for the development of relationships with key stakeholders in India including government, Boards and Councils, regulators, high education institutions, OET test venues and for ensuring OET gains maximum recognition in the region.
- Develop and maintain specialist knowledge about the healthcare and education markets and the role of English language assessment in the wider, dynamic healthcare context, including extensive market research activities.
- Create and maintain high level relationships with internal stakeholders, being the voice of the customer
Company Representative
- Promote OET Brand at events, roadshows and conferences
- Proactively schedule candidates and stakeholder events to increase awareness and revenue for OET
Qualifications
Knowledge, Experience and Skills
Tertiary degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent
Skills
Skills and Experience
- Excellent English language proficiency and communication skills (interpersonal, presenting, negotiating, persuading etc)
- Excellent writing skills; able to craft business proposals and letters to key decision-makers
- Excellent time management skills; able to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
- Good IT skills and a working knowledge of Salesforce
- Evidence of the ability to think strategically, innovatively and then to take action decisively and nimbly
- Able to think creatively and across industry to generate new business in new sectors
- Ability to work independently/on own initiative and as part of the wider Commercial team within the organisation
Experience
- Experience in sales/business, preferably in education sector OR healthcare sector
- 5 year + experience of B2B sales within the region
- Market research and product development experience would be highly desirable
- Good knowledge of the India education market
- Experience/understanding of teaching/assessment in English language/ Education
