Job Summary:
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will play a critical role in identifying and securing new business opportunities within the advertising sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development within an advertising agency, managing the entire client acquisition process from lead generation to deal closure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and industry events. Build a robust pipeline of potential clients.
- Client Outreach: Develop and execute strategic outreach plans to engage with prospective clients, showcasing our agency's capabilities and value propositions.
- Proposal Development: Craft and deliver customized proposals and presentations that address the unique needs of potential clients, emphasizing our advertising solutions and past successes.
- Negotiation: Lead negotiations to secure new business, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that align with our agency's goals and client expectations.
- Contract Management: Oversee the preparation and finalization of contracts, ensuring clarity on terms and successful onboarding of new clients.
- Client Onboarding: Facilitate a seamless transition for new clients, working closely with internal teams to ensure their advertising needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing ongoing support and identifying opportunities for additional services or upselling.
- Market Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to refine business development strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
- Reporting: Track and report on business development activities, pipeline progress, and performance metrics to ensure alignment with overall company goals.
- Collaboration: Partner with marketing, creative, and account management teams to align client objectives with agency capabilities and deliver exceptional results.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in business development within the advertising industry.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in managing the complete client acquisition lifecycle, including lead generation, proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
- Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of advertising trends, strategies, and market dynamics.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field. Additional certifications or relevant qualifications are advantageous.
- Attributes: Highly motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively. Strong organizational and time management skills.
