The Opportunity ...
We are looking for a Business Development Manager located in our Pune office however you will travel frequently. The purpose of the position is to develop potential new customers and opportunities within your assigned market. To identify new sales leads and bring back market trends. As our Business Development Manager you will report to our VP of Sales.
On a Given Day, You May
- Work together with teams to develop a growth strategy focused on both financial gain and market share.
- Research, identify and reach into new business sectors and new customer base.
- Identify business development projects and marketing opportunities then follow up by setting up meetings, prepare presentations and arrange customer visits.
- Develop relationships with existing and potential customers, promoting JBT's products and services.
- Proactive approach to cold calls and search for new customers and new businesses.
Requirements For The Role
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Food Science, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related fields (preferred but not essential)
- Total market/sales experience of 5+ years of experience with direct sales in B2B capital equipment and/or processing industry preferably in the food and beverage sector
- Knowledge of food and beverage process engineering, and experience in equipment integration, servicing and solutions
- Ability to presentation JBT's market offering in both in local language and English.
- Able handle high workloads, multiple projects and follow up on action plans.
- Team player, working closely with other team members in our business.
Travel & Location
Primary work takes place in the office and production floor environment (JBT offices and customer office and sites/production floor), in Food Processing plants and you will be travelling 70-80% of the time.
