As a Business development Manager, you will be responsible for responsible for several important Regional and Local accounts at Inventive, a subsidiary of IFF under Inclusion BU, who provides food ingredients specialties to Food industry customers. You will manage the sales to these accounts effectively with the goal to ensure growth of the business with them.
How You Will Contribute
- Helps to define strategy for Global & Regional Key Accounts with regards to the Inclusions portfolio & keeps overview with regards to the Inclusions business, including project pipeline.
- Responsible for profitable sales growth targets at Global & Regional key accounts for assigned product lines in defined area (category, region).
- Develop New Business Opportunities and New Customers by understanding their needs and targeting them with our product solutions.
- Manage the customer relationship.
- Responsible for quotes and pricing negotiations, ensuring that the minimum sales prices are achieved.
- Accountable for all communications with the customer and constantly keep Customer Service and Operations departments updated to ensure timely delivery of orders and all documents related to legal and quality issues and specifications.
- Manages complex customer projects (cost & price, regulatory, technical., compliance, etc) and leads cross-functional teams within Inclusions to design the right solution for the customer.
- Supports the regional/Category sales organization in rolling out and executing the Inclusions Business Development strategy on a customer level.
- Visits key and high potential accounts on need-to basis with regards to pro- and reactive projects jointly with the Regional Sales responsible.
- Provide (on time) together with Marketing, Sensory Consumer Insight and Creative and Application Department all information necessary all matters relating to the service of the accounts.
This includes:

- Keeping the customer up to date at all times

- Responsible for the project pipeline and the accurate and timely use and maintenance of all information entered into the project management system.
What you will need to be successful
- bachelors degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business Management majoring in Sales or Marketing or any other relevant discipline.
- At least 6-10 years of experience in Sales of Food Ingredients/Flavors to Food and Beverage customers.
- Strong business development acumen and high passion in Food Industry.
- Strong presentation and marketing skills, ability to work with cross-functional team within the organization and familiar with senior management reporting.
- Opportunity and results orientation with a can-do attitude.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills are desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
