Job Title: VP / AVP - Business Development
Job Description: As the Vice President / Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Business Development, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's growth strategy, particularly focusing on expanding our client base and revenue streams.
You will be responsible for leading the business development team, developing key relationships with potential clients, and implementing strategies to meet sales targets and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic plans to drive business growth.
- Lead the business development team in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and international organizations involved in peacebuilding efforts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of IPC clients.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for differentiation and competitive advantage.
- Prepare and present business proposals, pitches, and presentations to prospective clients.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring terms are favorable and aligned with company objectives.
- Track and report on sales performance metrics, regularly updating senior management.
- Mentor and develop the business development team, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their targets.
- Stay updated on industry developments and best practices in business development and sales techniques.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven track record of success in business development, with at least 8-10 years of experience in a leadership role.
- Deep understanding of the IPC sector, including key players, trends, and challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with clients.
- Strong leadership abilities, with experience managing and motivating teams to achieve targets.
- Analytical mind-set with the ability to gather and interpret data to inform strategic decisions.
- Results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
