We are looking for a driven and results-oriented Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our growing EdTech company. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our reach and driving sales of our innovative learning solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and qualify new sales leads within the education sector (schools, universities, etc.)
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve and exceed sales targets
- Build strong relationships with key decision-makers in the education market
- Conduct compelling product demonstrations and presentations
- Negotiate and close sales deals
- Manage customer onboarding and ensure a smooth transition to using our products
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop go-to-market strategies
- Provide valuable customer insights to inform product development and marketing efforts
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Education, or a related field (MBA preferred)
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably within the EdTech industry
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to build rapport with clients at all levels
- Deep understanding of the education sector and current learning trends
- Proficient in CRM software and sales methodologies
- A passion for education and a strong belief in the power of technology to improve learning outcomes
